Hi Cemil,

Google alerts is great for picking up mentions of yourself, your small business or your industry. It’s like having a super organised secretary who knows all the gossip. Being able to use this tool to react to what’s being said gives you a level of message control you wouldn’t otherwise have.

Hi Cemil,
I have found Google Alerts to be an excellent tool which has many uses.
You can monitor your brand names, your targeted keywords, your own name, etc.
I also like the fact that it emails you with the results on a weekly basis, if you wish to set it up that way.

Hi Cemil,

Another reputation management tool that looks pretty good is http://www.socialmention.com/. I’m playing around with it at the moment, but is seems to be similar to Google alerts, and monitors social media, blogs etc.

Seems to be potentially useful not only for business owners, but also anyone with a blog who wants to know what things are being said.
